Today you arrive in Santiago. Once arrived in the International Airport of Santiago, our team will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. After a short briefing, we start the city tour. The sights today include the old district, Club Hípico, the San Francisco church, the Government Palace, Main Square, Santa Lucía Hill, the San Cristóbal Hill from where we have a panoramic view of the city and last the most modern district in the city.
Today we visit Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Nicknamed “The Jewel of the Pacific”, Valparaíso was declared a world heritage site based upon its improvised urban design and unique architecture. In 1996, the World Monuments Fund declared Valparaiso’s unusual system of funicular elevators (highly-inclined cable cars) one of the world’s 100 most endangered historical treasures and the city was declared a World Heritage Site in 2003. Built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Valparaíso boasts a labyrinth of streets and cobblestone alleyways, embodying a rich architectural and cultural legacy. We continue to Viña del Mar which is Chile’s main tourist attraction and also known as “La Ciudad Jardin” (The Garden City). You can have lunch in one of the many seaside restaurants and in the afternoon we visit the town: the Casino which is one the oldest gambling establishments in South America, walk along the beach, Reñaca and of course the botanic garden Quinta Vergara where the biggest musical festival in Latin American is celebrated each year. We return to Santiago where the evening is free to enjoy the last day on the South American continent.
After breakfast we will leave the hotel to be transferred to the airport for the flight to Punta Arena. Once arrived in Punta Arenas our team will transfer you to Puerto Natales (3h). In Puerto Natales by private transport directly to your hotel and the rest of the day is free.
We will leave at 7:00 am from the hotel to prepare boarding scheduled at 7:30. We will sail to Mount Balmaceda, during our navigation we can enjoy the forests before arriving at Glacier Balmaceda and Serrano. We will have a few hours in front of us to walk before taking the boat. We will have lunch in a hosteria and then we will go to Torres del Paines Park by zodiac along the Serrano River. We will dismount and our team will accompany you to Hosteria Lago Gray where you will spend the night.
After breakfast we will walk around and discover the flora and fauna then we will resume our navigation toward Torres del Paines National Park, first we will navigate up by zodiac along the Serrano River. Later we will disembark, and our team will accompany you by car to visit the National Park Torres del Paine visiting Lago Grey where we will stay in the hosteria Grey.
After breakfast we will navigate and cross the Grey Lake where we will be able to observe the huge Glaciar Grey. After this impressive visit we will return to the Grey hosteria. The rest of the day will be free and you can walk near the hosteria around the Margarita and Marco Antonio lagoons to observe the fauna and flora.
Today we will have a leisure day in the hosteria Lago grey to enjoy the nature and peacefull environment. Some activities are available like treks or bicycle tour don’t hesitate to ask your guide previously.
In the morning we will drive to Punta Arenas to flight to Puerto Montt in the Chilean lake region. Our team will welcome you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel. After lunch we will discover the city.
From Puerto Montt, the capital of Chile's lake region, we will take the Panamericana 5 road to Pargua port where you board a ferry to reach the island of Chiloé. The crossing takes 35 minutes to disembark in the village of Chacao. You will visit the Puñihuil Penguin Reserve before descending further south towards the capital of the island, Castro. Visit of the Cathedral of Castro, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity, built in 1910 and made entirely of wooden tiles.
Excursion in the Chiloé National Park. Possibility of multiple walks from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Back on the east coast to the small village of Dalcahue, entirely turned towards the activities around the sea. Visit craft stalls. The restaurants here offer the Curanto, typical dish of the island with meat, potatoes, corn cakes and seafood. Small navigation in the afternoon to reach a small island in front of Dalcahue (Achaco or Quinchao) to discover the villages of sinners. Discovery of the churches which received in the year 2000, the title of Cultural Patrimony of UNESCO. Then drive to Cucao, a small fishing village on the west coast of the island that will seduce you. Night in Cucao.
Transportation by private vehicle to El Tepual airport 2 hours before your flight to take your domestic flight from Puerto Montt to Santiago. Arrival in Santiago and transport by private vehicle to the hotel.
The worldwide reputation of Chilean wines is well established, and it will be a shame not to enjoy your stay to discover the manufacture of one or more of the most prestigious Chilean wines. This visit is a trip in the past to meet the traditions and the Chilean countryside. About 1h30 after leaving the hotel, we will meet in the Colchagua Valley more than 150km south of Santiago. Our visit will begin with the visit of a vineyard in a carriage through its vineyards, then the tasting of several wines in its cellar. You have the choice to have lunch in a vineyard or in the best restaurant of Santa Cruz, the most important city of the region. The afternoon will be spent visiting a beautiful vineyard but also the realization of Chilean wine. We will return to Santiago at the end of the afternoon.
