    In the morning we drive toward Villa Leyva in the department of Boyaca Northeast of Bogota. On our way we will stop at Zipaquira town where the Nobel price Gabriel Garcia Marquez studied in the 40s and we visit the Cathedral of salt, an underground Salt Cathedral, carved in a vast salt mine, which is a replica of the original which has been built in 1951. We continue to Villa de Leyva known for its whitewashed colonial buildings, cobblestone streets and the great Plaza Mayor. This town is considered one of Colombia’s finest colonial villages. It was declared a national monument in 1954.

    The morning is free and before noon we return to Bogota for the flight to Neiva also known as Capital of the Magdalena River. Located in the department of Huila. It lies between the Central and Eastern Cordillera, in a plain on the eastern margin of the Magdalena River, in the valley of the same name, crossed by the Las Ceibas River and the Oro River. Our team will wait for you at the airport then we will drive to Villaviaje close the Tatacoa desert.

    In the morning after a breakfast in a local restaurant we travel to the desert of Tatacoa by motorcycle taxis. We stop in a natural pool in the middle of nowhere and swim. The Tatacoa Desert with its 330 square kilometers is the second largest arid zone in Colombia after the Guajira Peninsula and located 38 km from the city of Neiva. The Tatacoa Desert has two distinctive colors: ocher in the west area and gray in east area. After this peacefully visit, we return to Neiva and continue our travel to San Agustín 5:00.

    In the morning we visit the San Agustín Archeological Park which was declared a World Heritage Site declared by the UNESCO in 1995. In the San Agustín Archeological Park we find the largest group of religious monuments and megalithic sculptures in South America amist a wild, spectacular landscape. Gods and mythical animals are skilfully represented in styles ranging from abstract to realist. These works of art display the creativity and imagination of a northern Andean culture that flourished from the 1st to the 8th century. After lunch we visit the wonderful Colombian massif and the strait of the Magadalena River where a spectacular rocky gorge forces the river to pass through only 2.2m/7.2ft. We return to the hotel and the rest of the day will be free.

    Today we will visit San Agustín and its surroundings we will start by the Estrecho of Magdalena where the river is the narrowest then we continue to the Mirador of Purutal. Later on, we visit a traditional weaving workshop of banana fibers and finish our tour by the Obando Museum and its underground tombs

    We leave San Agustín to reach Popayán by car. After 4:00 drive we will discover the whitewashed colonial buildings of this city known for its popular processions during Holy Week and 17th century architecture. After lunch we will discover the city.

    We continue our roadtrip to reach Salento which is located 6:00 drive away from Popayan in the coffee region in the department of Quindío. This town retained more of its traditional colonial architecture than almost any other town in the coffee region, along with a peacuefully way of life which make the Cocora valley among the most popular destinations in Colombia. We will arrive in the afternoon and the rest of the day will be free.

    As a transportation today we use a jeep willis (traditional vehicles used in the coffee area). Then we discover the Cocora Valley by foot and we gently hike for 2 or 3 hours in the valley before pausing in a traditional Finca for lunch and rest. In the afternoon we visit a coffee Finca close to Salento and learn about manufacturing process and tasting. After this tasty visit we return to Salento

    Day dedicated to the discovery of the city and its main sites of interest. We use all Means of transport : metro, cable car, on foot, by bus, to visit the city of eternal spring. Sites visited: Former railway station, Administrative areas, Plaza de las Lumens (Square of Lights), Carabobo pedestrian street, Palacio Nacional (former Courthouse converted into shopping mall today), Veracruz Church, Botero Square and the splendid sculptures of Fernando Botero, Weather permitting, we will go to the top of the Palace of Culture (Palacio de la Cultura) to admire the city from the dome of the monument, Park Berrio and Church of Candelaria, Junin pedestrian street. Meeting with local flower and ice cream sellers., Coltejer Building, Bolivar Square and Metropolitan Cathedral., Visit to San Ignacio Square, San Antonio Park. End of the visit with free entrance to the museum Casa de la Memoria. Afternoon exploration of the Comuna 13.

    Day of visit by car of Guatapé located 1 hour drive from Medellin. We will explore several spot of this balnear station starting by the the replica of the old village "El Peñol", passing by the "Puente Colgante" (suspension bridge) and stop at the rock of Penol (climb not included). We have lunch in a traditional restaurant of the region and in the afternoon, a pleasant hike in the colorful streets of Guatapé. Return in the late afternoon

    Today we change landscape and leave the metropolitan city to reach the blue waters of Caribbean coast. We are transfer to the airport of Medellin to take the flight to Cartagena. Once arrived we are transfer by private car to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon free for a first discovery of this mythical city of Cartagena de Indias, the pearl of the carribean a gorgeous city full of stories and legends and an impressive 13km of centuries-old colonial stone walls. Cartagena's old town is a Unesco World Heritage site – small street with flowers all over the city make this place a carribean momument.

    Today we will try to fish some crab with an fishing initiation with Boquilla fishermen (20 minutes from Cartagena) we will sail on a canoe and try to be lucky. Lunch in their company on the beach of Boquilla. Because we are by the sea a swim break will be possible after lunch. In the afternoon we will head back in Cartagena.

    In the early morning we leave the coast to get further in the land and reach Mompox. This Heritage Town springs from an island that during the Conquest was a refuge for the gold and silver that the Spanish brought out of their kingdom. Mompox, whose historic center was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, was founded in 1540. After this long drive we will have lunch then we will start a guided tour of the city by moto-taxi and visit the main sites of interest (churches, cemetery, alleys).

    Today we will visit by bike (1h bike approx.) the surrounding villages and meet the "campesinos" (peasants). Then you will navigate on a motorboat to La Ciénaga, which is the marsh of Mompox, a real aquatic labyrinth that surrounds the city. During the journey, you will observe a large number of birds and animals ... egrets, herons, water hens, sinful martins, sinful eagles, howler monkeys, iguanas. We will meet fishermen and eventually do a light fishing initiation. Then we will relax and swim before having lunch to the inhabitant before returning to Mompox by boat around 15:30-16:00. Then we will hit the road to reach Santa Marta by private vehicle (2h drive). Once arrive at the hotel located in the historical Center. The rest of the day will be free.

    In the morning we will be transfer to the airport of Santa Marta to flight back to Bogota. Our team will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. After a short refresh at the hotel you will start the visit of Bogota and we will walk along the Jiménez Avenue to the foot of Cerro Monserrate. This mountain has a nice overlook on the city. We will take the cable car to get to the top of Cerro Monserrate. From there we will enjoy the spectacular vie won the city. Later we will visit Santuario de Monserrate church on the top of the mountain and the gorgeous gardens. We will continue our visit to the center of La Candelaria and appreciate the historic buildings. We walk through La Plaza de Chorro de Quevedo where the city has been established in 1538. From Candelaria neighbourhood we will go to the block of Banco de la republica and visit the Botero Collection an impressive collection from Botero but also Botero own collection of renowned artist masterpieces like Picasso, Chagall, Dali, Renoir and Max Ernst After this impressive visit we carry on forwards to Plaza Bolívar where stand El Capitolio Nacional, the household of Colombian congress, the Bogota city hall, The Palace of Justice, Edificio Liévano, and Catedral la Primaria. To end our tour we will visit The Gold Museum. - The Gold museum displays one of the most dazzling collection in South America. It brings together around 34.000 pieces of goldsmith work, considered as the world´s largest pre-Colombian collection of its kind. Those artifacts come from different civilizations : Quimbayas, Taironas, Muiscas or Tolimas.
