In the Colombian Andes

From Bogota in the centre of the country we fly to the South and reach the Ecuadorian border by car, from where we start a tour of the Colombian Andes, going from South to North until returning to Bogota. This visit to the south of Colombia, begins with Bogota the big capital and his 8 million inhabitants which is located in Sabana, this plateau perching on the heights of the Andes at 2640m above sea level then we descend to the South, to visit the town of Pasto and get closer to the border with Ecuador in the small town of Ipiales and go up gradually to reach Popayan and discover the archaeological site and the necropolis located in the Tierra Adentro park, a World Heritage Site by Unesco. We continue our ascent to the north and pass by San Agustin where we discover the park and its megalithic sculptures before spending a moment in the Totocoa desert and return to Bogota which we visit before ending this stay.
