Day 4: El Calafate - El Chalten - Trekking - El Chalten laguna-torre.jpg Transfer in pool service from the hotel in El Calafate to the hotel in El Chalten. 210 km. 3 hours and 30 minutes of journey. Trek self - guided up to Los Condores and Las Aguilas viewing points. You walk by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park - trails are well marked). This is the shortest hike from El Chaltén, that enables you to reach a viewpoint that lend itself to exceptional panoramic views of the Adela, Torre and Fitz Roy massifs, and the Río de las Vueltas valley. Optionally you can access a second viewpoint on a natural balcony with views of the steppe and the large Viedma lake. Leaving from El Chaltén, you cross over the town access bridge over the Fitz Roy River and continue along the road until you reach the National Park Visitors' Centre where the trail begins. From there, this well signed trail ascends until you get to a viewpoint. This footpath is relatively new as it has been inaugurated in 2004. As it name shows, the lookout point is situated in a strategic place for the eventual observation of condors in their frequent glide to and from the Río Fitz Roy valley. It is also an excellent alternative to appreciate the imposing granite peaks and glaciers that dominate the horizon. The trail to Las Águilas viewpoint begins at a bifurcation situated a few minutes before reaching Los Cóndores viewpoint, and just over 15 minutes walk, you arrive to this natural balcony with panoramic views over the steppe. Night at the hotel El Paraiso ***. Included : shared transport, room & breakfast

Day 5: Trekking - Laguna Torre - El Chalten laguna-torre.jpg Trek self guided up to Laguna Torre. You are walking by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park and trails are well marked). Beautiful walk to reach the nearest viewpoint to the range of the legendary Cerro Torre. It takes about three hours on a trail without great difficulty, passing through the viewpoint of Torre, from where you have a very good view of all the mountains and the typical glacial valley of Cerro Torre. Before reaching the lake we pass the De Agostini camp and after ten minutes walking through the last glacial moraines, we will access one of the most famous sights of the park: all the sensational group of Cerro Torre, Cerro Solo, the snowy range of the Adelas, Torre glacier and the lake of the same name. It is optional to continue to the Maestri viewpoint. Note 1: 7 to 8 hours walking Note 2: Elevation + 300m Night at the hotel El Paraiso ***. Included : room & breakfast

Day 6: El Chalten - El Pilar - Trekking - Laguna de los Tres - El Chalten Transfer from the hotel in El Chalten to Hosteria El Pilar, starting point of treks, in pool service. Departs at 8h, 12h and 15h. Trek self- guided up to the Laguna de los Tres. You are walking by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park and trails are well marked). The walk starts along a beautiful trail in the forest, on the West slope of the Polo mount, to get to a slight ascent to the camp Poincenot. The amazing views are with us the whole tour: the Blanco River valley, the Piedras Blancas glacier and its lagoon. The climb to the Laguna de los Tres starts at Poincenot and is hard, but the reward is well worth it. Closer to the mountains we cannot be, unless we are "andinistas". Fitz Roy in all its splendor and the spectacular Sucia lagoon will be the site for lunch. We return through the beautiful Capri lagoon. Note 1: 9 to 10 hours of walking. Note 2: Elevation + 800m Night at the hotel El Paraiso ***. Included : shared transport, room & breakfast

Day 7: Trekking - Pliegue Tumbado - El Chalten Trek self - guided up to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado. You walk by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park and trails are well marked). This simple ascent to a beautiful edge formed by rocks slates is one of the most panoramic tours of the park; although we are not so close to the Fitz Roy and Torre, the spectacular views of Mount Solo, Lake Viedma and the whole massif of Fitz Roy and Torre from the south, are well worth its route. Moreover lots of marine fossils are found in rocks. After a full day's march, we go back to town, with one of the best images that Patagonia gives us. Note 1: 6-7 hours hiking, elevation + 800m This simple ascent to a beautiful edge formed by rocks slates is one of the most panoramic tours of the park; although we are not so close to the Fitz Roy and Torre, the spectacular views of Mount Solo, Lake Viedma and the whole massif of Fitz Roy and Torre from the south, are well worth its route.
