Day 1: Santiago de Chile Arrival in Santiago and private transfer to your hotel. An English-speaking guide will accompany you during the transfer. Visit of Chile's capital, nestled at the foot of the Andes. Although Santiago has become over the years a modern and bustling city, some older neighbourhoods have preserved their atmosphere and a romantic charm. You will visit the Plaza de Armas, San Francisco Church, the Bellavista area, Cerro San Cristobal, etc. Night at Hotel Don Santiago ***. Day 2: Santiago de Chile - Arica - Putre Private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport. Domestic flight from Santiago to Arica (time to be confirmed, flight indicated in option). 5-day expedition in a private vehicle with a Spanish-speaking driver. Meet your driver/guide at Chacalluta Airport, located in the desert 15 km north of Arica, near the Peruvian border. Immediate departure to begin an incredible climb to 3,500 m of altitude. In a little more than 150 km, you will reach the pleasant village of Putre (about 5 hours drive with stops). You will see, among other things, geoglyphs and petroglyphs, the terraced fields of Socorama, candelabra cactus on the edge of the canyon, and beautiful views of the Nevados de Putre (5 824 m alt.). Night in the village of Putre. Excellent base to begin acclimatization. Night at Hotel la Chakana **. Day 3: Putre - Lauca National Park - Putre Option 1: Start your day by going to the Chungará Lake before going down to the Lagunas de Cotacotani (3 hours walk). The guide will show you the way and pick you up at the end of the walk. Then, you will drive down to Parinacota and Putre. Option 2: Take a short walk (around 30 minutes) to get to Las Cuevas. In the village of Parinacota, the vehicle will pick you up and you will drive down to the Lagunas de Cotacotani, without doing the hike. You will then continue to the Chungará Lake and to Putre at the end of the day. Night at Hotel la Chakana **. Day 4: Putre - Salar de Surire - Colchane Head south through Las Vicuñas National Reserve and follow the active Guallatiri Volcano (6,063 m and fumaroles around the summit) before arriving at the Surire Salt Flat (4,245 m alt.) which takes its name from the presence of ostriches (“suri” in Aymara). Observation of different species of flamingos, as well as many llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. Lunch break near the hot springs. Continue on a narrow track that descends south, crossing the colonial villages of Enquelga (3,850 m alt.) and Isluga (3,980 m alt.). Arrival in Colchane in late afternoon. Day 5: Colchane - Pica From Colchane, the track takes you south to a No Man’s Land close to the border. You will drive around Cariquima Volcano (el. 5,390 meters above sea level.) then over the Portezuelo Pass (at an elevation of 5,075 meters!) to arrive at the Huasco Salt Flat. This natural basin surrounded by volcanoes, at 3,700 meters above sea level, impresses by its loneliness. It is the most beautiful imaginable spot for an outdoor lunch! In the afternoon, you will descend to 2,400m to reach Pica. The desolate Pampa gives in to a lush oasis of orange and lemon groves and guava trees. It is a pure pleasure! Night in a small hostel. Day 6: Pica - Calama - Santiago de Chile From Pica, you will keep on descending towards Cerros Pintados, where you will admire interesting gigantic geoglyphs. On the slopes of the surrounding hills, the pre-Colombian civilizations drew around 350 figures, representing human, animals and abstract shapes. You will reach the famous Pan-American Highway, the road linking Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. You will cross the whole Pampa del Tamarugal. This desolate area witnessed a real rush at the end of the 19th century, not for gold but for saltpetre. Numerous abandoned “oficinas” tell of this ephemeral and tragic past. You will then head towards Calama where you will arrive at the end of the day. Domestic flight from Calama to Santiago (time to be confirmed, flight indicated in option). Day 7: Santiago de Chile - Temuco - Temuco Airport - Pucón Private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport. Domestic flight from Santiago to Temuco (time to be confirmed, flight indicated in option). Welcome at Temuco airport and transfer to Lake Villarica, 1:30h drive. You are now in the lake and volcano region, on the way you see the Llaima volcano and we are now facing the volcano Villarrica, a perfect cone. Arrival in Pucon for lunch. Check into your hotel and end of the day by the lake at leisure. Night at the hotel Malalhue ***. Included : transfer departure, domestic flight, airport tax, private transport, room & breakfast

Day 8: Puerto Varas - Huilo Huilo You leave the shores of Lake Villarrica in the early morning to go further south. The road "Interlagos" was built specifically to enjoy the beauty of each of these lakes and to get off the Pan-American Highway. You can take lots of breaks, to take pictures and enjoy the fresh water of the lakes or the warm waters of the hot springs, typical in this volcanic region. A two-hour drive will take you along the lakes Calafquén and Panguipulli. You will have views of the Villarrica Volcano, from different angles, at almost all times. You will arrive on the outskirts of the Huilo Huilo Reserve with in front of you the Choshuenco Volcano. Check into your hotel which architecture surprisingly integrates perfectly with the environment. The magic of this reserve will enchant you. Relax at the hotel spa complex. Day 9: Huilo Huilo Canyoning First day at leisure. Enjoy your stay at the pace of the reserve, its incredible nature and calm. Day 10: Huilo Huilo - Pucón - Puerto Varas Huilo Huilo Second day. Program: photos and dips in the fresh water of the lakes or in the warm waters of the hot springs which abound in this volcanic region. You will see the lakes Calafquen, Panguipulli, Riñihue and of course Villarrica where you will end your day. The landscapes around Pucón are beautiful. Day 11: Puerto Varas - Punihuil Natural Monument - Castro Departure at 9:00 to reach Puerto Montt. From Puerto Montt, capital of the Lake District in Chile, you will take the Panamericana 5 to the port of Pargua from where you will hop on a ferry to Chiloe Island. The crossing takes 30 minutes to land in the villages of Chacao and Ancud. You will visit the Penguins Reserve Puñihuil before descending further south to the capital of the island, Castro. Visit of the Cathedral of Castro, built in 1910 declared World Heritage by UNESCO and made ​​entirely of wood tiles. Night at the Palafito 1326 hotel ***. Day 12: Castro - Chiloé National Park - Cucao - Castro Excursion in the Chiloé National Park. Possibility of multiple walks from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Back on the east coast to the small fisherman's village of Dalcahue, visit of the craft shops. The restaurants serve Curanto, the typical dish of the island with meat, potatoes, corn cakes and seafood. Navigation in the afternoon to reach a small island in front of Dalcahue (Achaco or Quinchao) to explore the fishing villages. Visit of the churches that received in 2000, the title of World Heritage of UNESCO. Back to Castro. Night at the Palafito 1326 hotel ***. Day 13: Cucao - Castro - Puerto Varas Departure at 9:00am. The peculiarity of Castro lies in its houses on stilts, handy indeed for those by the water, but also for those standing further away because it rains a lot here. The Churches of Chiloé are classified World Heritage by UNESCO, you will visit some of them on the way. You will also pass through fishing villages, fishing and agriculture being the main resources of the island. Take a nice walk at the pace of this quiet island. In late afternoon, back to the continent with the same ferry that brought you here. Arrival at Puerto Varas in late afternoon. Night at Casa Kalfu hotel ***. Day 14: Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Santiago de Chile Two hours before your flight, transfer from Puerto Varas to El Tepual airport (Puerto Montt). English-speaking guide.
