  •  La Paz – Huayna Potosi – La Paz

  • 1. La Paz – Huayna Potosi Shelter (4720m/15.486ft)
    At 08h00 we leave La Paz in order to reach the Huayna Potosi shelter which is situated at the Zongo mountain pass (4720m/15.485ft). We pass a series of Lagunas before reaching the foot of the Huayna Potosi. Upon arrival we prepare the material necessary for the climb and after lunch we head to an ice wall not far from the shelter where we train in the use of crampons on ice. We return to the shelter and the rest of the day is free.

    2. Huayna Potosi Shelter – High Camp (5150m/16.896ft)
    After breakfast we start our trek which will bring us to the high camp at 5150m/16.896ft. After approx. 2 ½ hours we arrive at the shelter almost at the exact point where the snow starts. We spend the day relaxing and getting ready for the climb. Dinner is served early in order to get some rest before we start our summit attempt at 01h00.

    3. High Camp – Summit Attempt Huayna Potosi (6088m/19.973ft) – La Paz
    We start our summit attempt at 01h00. We should arrive at the summit between 06h30 and 07h00 in the morning from where we have a wonderful view. After a few moments on the summit we start our descend and we expect to be back in La Paz around 15h30 in the afternoon. End of our services
