  • Day 1 - La Paz arrival
We don't know from which part of Bolivia you will arrive (La Paz airport, La Paz bus station or by other means) but because you decide to travel with Boost you will certainly have received the instructions on how to get to your hotel safe and sound (and cheap).Don't forget that this evening you will have an important briefing with our team, where we'll talk about the Boost Trip and give you the information you need in order to make the most of your stay (including handing over your Boost Kit). Don't forget to be on time at the hotel at 20.00 (sharp) or the briefing starts without you.

Day 2 - La Paz - Copacabana (Lake Titicaca)
Here we go! This is your first day travelling with Boost, fasten your belt because your guide will pick you up at 07.15 and the bus leave at 07.30 to go to the nice village of Copacabana located at the shore of lake Titicaca (3,5h). On the arrival we will go straight to the hotel to leave the backpack. At 11.30 your guide picks you up for a small boat trip to some floating terraces where we will be able to fish our proper lunch. After this fun (and fresh) lunch we go back to Copacabana where we visit the Church of the Virgen of Candelaria. Then you will get some tips to move around Copacabana by yourself, optional possibility to climb to the Calvario, the "sugar top" above Copacabana. The sight worth the effort of a 45min climb.
At 19.30 dinner will be served in one of our handpicked restaurants and for those who are still on we will invite for a drink at one of the nearby bars. Then the night belongs to you...

Day 3 - Copacabana - Boat to the Sun Island
In the happy belief that there are no hung-overs, your guide will pick you up at 08.00 to take you to the Sun Island by boat. We'll have the time to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful lake because the boat trip takes one hour and a half. So bring your camera, guitar and a game of cards (just be careful with the breeze). We start the visit on the Island from the North where we visit the pre-columbine ruins of Chincana, then do a little picnic and start the trek of 11km to the South of the Island where we arrive at our hostel with dashing views over the lake, and can enjoy the sun setting over Peru.

Day 4 - Sun Island - Boat to Copacabana - Bus to La Paz
Certainly exhausted by the 11km trek at 3,900m from yesterday, you will be able to sleep long(er), but don't forget to wake up in order to catch the boat leaving the port at 10.00. Anyways, your guide will find you and remind you that you have to leave this precious Island, we won't leave you there like "Lost" (TV-serie) characters. Once on firm land in Copacabana we'll grab a quick lunch before taking the bus back to La Paz at 13.30. We get to La Paz around 17.30 and you can explore the city for some hours before we meet for dinner at one of the selected Boost restaurants, where an exclusive cocktail awaits you, and then we finish off with a cosy bar.

Day 5 - La Paz - Bus to Tiwanaku and return to La Paz - Night Bus to Uyuni
We hope that you enjoyed your night in La Paz and that you went to discover a bit of the city life. Today is a cultural day with a long history, because at 08.15 your guide will be looking for you to take you to the archaeologic site of Tiwanaku an ancient civilisation who lived on the Altiplano 2500-3000 years ago and maybe even before that, but scientist are not sure. We will spend the day overthere and around 16.30 we will be back in La Paz where you will have few hours to prepare for the night bus to go to Uyuni (Salt flats) at 19.00 where we arrive the day after around 06.30 in the morning. It's a pity forgetting the tips we'll give you for this night...

Day 6 - 4x4 adventure from Uyuni, Train cementery, Colchani village, Uyuni salt flats, Incahuasi Island (Giant Cactus Island), to Chuvica
After a shaky bus ride (sorry there are no other roads...) we assure that you will arrive ready to keep visiting Bolivia, but a good breakfast will be necessary, so for that we have the solution - we will go to one of the best breakfast maker in Uyuni town. You'll have the time to walk around a bit and discover that Uyuni has not a lot to offer early in the morning (and later neither by the way) but we didn't come to Uyuni to spend time in Uyuni "bloody" village. At 10.30 we will start the famous tour of Uyuni and South Lipez 3 days with the visit of the train cemetery where we can climb the trains and take all the king of funny and silly pictures. Then we continue by taking our big 4x4 japanese car to go to Colchani a pure Far-West and typical village of the region, the particularity of this one is that being so close to the salt flats everything is made out of salt: houses, handicraft, souvenirs, and the inhabitants exploit the salt to sustain their families. After buying some salty souvenirs we will finally discover the real, unique and highest white salt flat of the world. We'll drive from Colchani to the Eastern entrance of the salt flats to reach the "Montones" those stacks of salt that people used for salting food, before heading for Incahuasi, the Giant Cactus Island where we admire the thousand years old plants, have lunch, and pay attention! - the complete Island is covered with fossilized corals. After lunch we drive to the south to get to Chuvica Village where we spend the night.

Day 7 - 4x4 adventure from Chuvica, Cuevas Galaxias, Salar de Chiguana, Jewel's road and Alto Andina lagoons (Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiar Khota, Honda and Ramadita) - Desert of Siloli - Stone Tree - National park Eduardo Avaroa - Laguna Colorada
Our 4x4 adventure continues and at 07.00 your guide/driver will take you further South in the impressive and desert area of the North and South Lipez. We'll start with the Cuevas Galaxias "the galaxies' caves", an interesting way of picturing the life in the area in ancient times when the big and flat desert was covered by water, 40 m above the current level. In this cave you will witness fossilized seaweed and everywhere fossilized corals. Amazing isn't it?

Well because that wasn't incredible enough, the cave next door shows a cave full of pre-columbian tombs where you can still see the bones (!). After this surprising visit we start our trip in the poorest demographic area of Bolivia (0.03 habitant per Km²), indeed even if it is the poorest because nobody wants to live there (you will understand why when you get there) it is one of the most beautiful areas with lagoons, deserts, and colorful volcanoes this is a real pleasure for the eyes. Don't forget your camera, memory card, and a full battery! On our road trip to the South we will stop several times to walk and explore, and we will see the famous stone tree before arriving at Laguna Colorada the famous lagoon which changes colors during the day - to a marvelous purple reddish color at some point. The small pink dots on the lake's surface are only hundreds and sometime thousands of pink flamingos.

We spend the night at the shelter of Huayallarajara that used to be an old military base to prevent Chilean invasion. However, because Bolivia already lost its access to the see there were no point in keeping the poor soldiers in the cold of the South Lipez, so today it is a cold but useful shelter for tourism. It's a basic accommodation and got no heating or hot shower whatsoever. But don't cry, this is just for one night and you'll get heated up tomorrow in the thermal baths.

Day 8 - 4x4 adventure - Geyser Sol de mañana - Thermal spring of Polques - Desert of Dali - Laguna verde - Villamar - Rock town - San Cristobal - Uyuni - Potosi
Travelling in this area is a bit tough but we won't get anything without a bit of effort. Today is probably the longest - we'll wake up early and start the adventure 4x4 at 04.00 in the morning, firstly because we have to go back to Uyuni in the day, and secondly because there is a lot to visit. The early alarm is to get to see the geyser of Sol de Mañana which means Sun of the morning. It is at this time that the geyser has the strongest activity in order to get the best photos and see the boiling mud cooking like the "Shrek" stew (movie), really impressive. Still fuming and smelling the nice perfume of Sulphur from the geyser we will get a bath in the thermal spring of Polques - don' t forget your swimming suit if you dare to swim in the 40 degrees hot water. The hardest isn't to get in the pool but to get out in the early morning frost so you need to be fast to get in you trousers.

After this refreshing experience we will drive even more South and cross one of the nicest deserts of the area - the desert of Dali - before we get to the Southernmost point of Bolivia at the incredible Laguna verde aka the Green lagoon. When the wind start around midday this lagoon, full of components not good for the health (cyanure, phosphor, lead and more), takes the color of light intensive green and offers a great show. After a few pictures we'll go back to the North and drive to the Rock Town which from far away looks like a real mountain town, but once we reach it it's just a big stone heap. A nice walk in its alleys, streets and square is, however, possible. We return to Uyuni around 18.30 where we will have one hour to grab something to eat and jump on the bus to Potosi, where we arrive at 23.00 and get to the hotel. After this long, long day we are almost sure that you will sleep like baby.

Day 9 - Potosi free day - Bus to Sucre
Hurray today it is a free day! No waking up in the middle of the night, no bus or boat to catch, nothing else than your nice pillow that you missed so much since your arrived. Today you will do anything you want - if you want to move around town check your app to see what you can do in Potosi in one day. A guide will pick you up at 1630 to go to the bus station and at 17h00 your bus will leave to Sucre. Around 20.00 you will get to Sucre and a transfer will be provided to get you to the hotel. Then we will go for a nice dinner and drink.

Day 10 - Sucre city tour (opcional activities)
Hope you enjoyed your first night in Sucre. Your guide will pick you up at 09.30 to go visit the (second) Capital of Bolivia: Sucre is where the independence of Bolivia was signed in 1825 and houses the judicial power, and it's not for nothing that it is called the white city, you'll soon discover. You will explore this charming and quiet small town during the morning and we will take you for a nice lunch in a restaurant of our selection. Then after a short briefing you will have the afternon free. At 20.00 we'll take you for another tasty dinner and a drink at one of the best bars in town.

Day 11 - Sucre free day - Night bus to La Paz
You won't believe it but your guide won't come to knock your door and tell you to hurry up because today it's another free day! We're almost sure that you won't wake up early and you will take advantage of your bed because it's holidays, isn't it? We hope you will enjoy this day to the maximum and have nice memories of the tranquil town of Sucre. Don't forget to hashtag your pictures (#BoostBolivia) and tell your friends about the entertaining and quality Boost tour. Nevertheless, it is time to grab the bag and say goodbye to Sucre. Your guide will pick you up at 19h30 to go to the bus station to take the night bus back to La Paz.

Day 12 - La Paz - City tour, lots of fun and shopping!
We will get to La Paz bus terminal around 6.30 in the morning where you'll go directly to the hotel to drop off your luggage. Because you will be starving your guide will pick you up to go for a nice breakfast somewhere in town. Satisfied with coffee, marmelade, bread and fruit we will start a complete city tour full of surprises. We will take the opportunity to go shopping and suggest the best places with no false "alpaca" sweaters or chinese jewlery. For lunch will go to the (close to) bohemian neighborhood Sopocachi. from there we continue our urban exploration and take the Teleferico aka Cable car to go to the South of La Paz to discover the art of making a really good cup of high altitude gourmet coffee - from the toasting to tasting. Later, as we say in Boost, it is time for an aperitif so we will go to our friend Marco where we will have a real Italian appetizer and dinner. But the night is still young and we'll start our La Paz by night tour because at Boost we like to have fun. We have chosen a couple of really good bars where we will invite you a free drink in each one. We put our all our efforts for you to have a great time but at some point we say goodbye because tomorrow it's time for some altitude when we'll go to the Cordillera.

Day 13 - La Paz free day
Hope you won’t miss us too much, now that you know perfectly La Paz you can move around by yourself and take advantage of your app and if you don’t you can ask us some tip we’ve got plenty to share.
