ITINERARY IN BRIEF
This tour starts in Nuestra Señora de La Paz which is the administrative capital of Bolivia and better known simply as La Paz. We leave the altiplano by plane and after a short flight over the Andes Cordillera we arrive in the village Rurrenabaque in 200m/657ft altitude in the Bolivian Amazon Basin. Depending on the choice of departure from La Paz we might explore the small town Rurrenabaque itself before we continue to the pampa for an encounter with the Beni Vaqueros. During 6 days we have the opportunity to take part in the life of the Bolivian cowboys while experiencing the amazing fauna of the area. We have the possibility to see the famous Caiman, the Anaconda and swim with the fresh water dolphin (depending on season).

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 La Paz – Rurrenabaque – Pampa Estancia
Option 1: For the early birds
Early in the morning our team will pick you up from your hotel (La Paz centre) and take you to the airport for your flight La Paz – Rurrenabaque. After a one hour flight over the Andes Cordillera you arrive in Rurrenabaque where our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel. After a cup of coffee or maybe even breakfast (not included) at the Lipiko Cafe we leave to explore Rurrenabaque. We walk to the Mirador from where we have an exceptional view of the town and we can swim in the swimming pool. After lunch we have the choice between kayaking, horseback riding, Amazon adventure golf, and visit to a private property where we discover the techniques of agro forestry or you can simply relax at the pool. At 18h30 we return to the centre and the evening is free. We suggest you have dinner in the restaurant of Chef Juliano (fish, meat and poultry with irresistible sauces and both local and international cuisine), the best restaurant in town, and probably in the whole region.
Option 2: Taking one’s time
Around noon our team will pick you up from your hotel (La Paz centre) and take you to the airport for your flight La Paz – Rurrenabaque. After a one hour flight over the Andes Cordillera you arrive in Rurrenabaque where our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel where you can check-in straight away. After lunch we have the choice between kayaking, horseback riding, Amazon adventure golf, and visit to a private property where we discover the techniques of agro forestry or you can simply relax at the pool. At 18h30 we return to the centre and the evening is free. We suggest you have dinner in the restaurant of Chef Juliano (fish, meat and poultry with irresistible sauces and both local and international cuisine), the best restaurant in town, and probably in the whole region.
Option 3: Getting the last flight
Our team will pick you up from your hotel (La Paz centre) and take you to the airport for your flight La Paz – Rurrenabaque. After a one hour flight over the Andes Cordillera you arrive in Rurrenabaque where our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel where you can check-in straight away. We suggest you have dinner in the restaurant of Chef Juliano (fish, meat and poultry with irresistible sauces and both local and international cuisine), the best restaurant in town, and probably in the whole region.

Day 2 Rurrenabaque - Pampa estancia
At 08h30 we leave by private vehicle to the estancia (farm) in the Pampa 02h30 away. Upon arrival the staff at the estancia will be waiting to help us get installed in the lodge and after a presentation of the farm we leave to visit the surrounding area. During our tour we have the possibility to observe the numerous mammals and bird species that live in the region. We also have the possibility to go on a canoe tour on one of the many lakes on the property and we can even try to fish for the famous Tucunare which is abundant in these lakes. The staff at the estancia will be happy to prepare the fish we catch on a BBQ once we return to the lodge, while we relax in hammocks. After lunch we leave on horseback to the Pampa where we again have the possibility to see the rich animal life of the Amazon savannah. We also accompany the vaqueros (local cowboys) to help round up the cattle and we learn how to use a lasso. Late afternoon we return to the lodge at the estancia where we can rest a bit before dinner while admiring the colours of the sunset over the still waters of the lake. Day 3 Selva (Jungle) - rurrenabaque - La Paz
We get up at sunrise in order to be able to admire the beauty of the landscape and the magnificent colours of the Pampa at dawn. We then accompany the staff of the estancia to help milk the cows and after breakfast we participate in the production of cheese with the fresh milk. Later we leave for a tour on horseback through the estancias property to observe the diverse fauna of the Pampa and different forests. We return to the lodge and after a well deserved rest, or a lasso lesson, we get back on our horses to help round up the herd and bring them back to their enclosure. We will of course be accompanied by a vaquero who will teach us the techniques of how to manage a herd. After dinner we go for an evening walk in the forest and the banks of the lagoons close to the estancia to observe the abundant nightly animal life or go for a night fishing tour. B/L/D

Day 4 - 5 - 6 Pampa Estancia
For the next couple of days we can choose between the many offered activities in accordance with our guide and depending on the work in the estancia and of course the wishes of the group. B/L/D

Day 7 Pampa Estancia – Rurrenabaque – La Paz
In the morning we leave either on foot or in a “Carretón” (small wooden cart pulled by animals) in order to visit a new part of the estancia or the “chacos”, which are agricultural fields which allow the workers and the families on the farm to grow fruits and vegetables. After a BBQ lunch, called "parrillada" in Bolivia we return to Rurrenabaque where we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to La Paz. After a one hour flight over the Amazon Basin and the Andes Cordillera our team in La Paz will meet you to transfer you to your hotel (La Paz centre). B/L. End of our services
